Dark Skies Photo Safari featuring Photographer Andy Palmer from The Adventure Portal - March 20th to 22nd, 2020.
We'll take you to some dark and beautiful locations and show you how to make amazing images of the night sky using film, digital still and time-lapse photography.
We'll spend 3 days and 2 nights exploring the scenery of Death Valley and surrounding areas. Once the sun goes down we'll show you how to capture beautiful images of the landscape and night sky around us. Professional Photography and 4x4 guidance in some amazing locations. We'll also provide morning coffee (via french press) and a fire to gather around each evening.
Drive your own 4x4 vehicle (8 inches of minimum ground clearance, a low range transfer-case and 31" or larger All Terrain or Mud Terrain tires are required).
Rent your own 4x4 vehicle (contact us, we have options for you).
A digital SLR camera (with printed manual, we know a lot about cameras but not all;), a wide angle lens (12mm-28mm), a sturdy tripod, camping gear and tent, sleeping bag (15 - 30 degree rating), pillow, a warm hat and jacket for the evenings, sturdy shoes for hiking, a headlamp and a good community attitude.
