Mono Lake Adventure
Explore Mono Lake, it's history, surrounding dunes, volcanic geology, and unique and delicate Tufa towers. This area is surprisingly full of geology and history and is an especially great adventure for families or groups looking for an easy introduction to overlanding.
Description:We'll meet you in Lee Vining, CA and then spend 4 days and 3 nights exploring the history and scenery of the Wild West and the Volcanic past of California. We'll see, first hand, the lesser known areas of Mono Lake which make this place significant both in geologic terms and as part of the history of the American West. We'll also walk through the amazing tufa towers that make this place famous and hike through a volcano with great views of the lake.
