Death Valley National Park Adventure (Beginner to Advanced levels)
An exciting exploration of the infamous Death Valley and its hidden treasures. There is nothing quite like Death Valley, with its variety of landscape, history and vast space it truly is a place to experience. As one of the Dark Sky parks, Death Valley has amazing night time photography opportunities, and next to my "Expedition" style tours, this can be one of our most challenging overland driving/training tours, but not to worry, we'll take care of you and have a fun time doing it:)

Description:
We'll start outside of Death Valley (Big Pine, CA or Beatty, NV) and then spend 5 days exploring and taking in the sights of Death Valley's hidden treasures, including fabulous hot springs, a hike to the top of 700' sand dunes, and a walk in a desert playa with mysterious "racing" rocks.

Overland Training:
This is a 3 day overland training, geared towards the beginner but with tips more advanced folks can use too. The training also has the added benefit of seeing some of the most amazing parts of Death Valley, including a dip in a fabulous hot spring! This is an extensive training from the basics of overland planning, travel and packing, all the way up to negotiating various obstacles and high lift jack and winching training. You provide your own tent, camping gear, and meals, and I will provide strong morning coffee (french press) and a warm fire to gather around each evening.

Guided Tours:
Professional 4x4 guidance, training, and safety while negotiating the back roads of Death Valley. You provide your own tent, camping gear, and meals. In addition, I'll provide strong morning coffee (french press) and a warm fire to gather around each evening.

All-Inclusive Guided Tours:
Professional 4x4 guidance and training, chef prepared breakfast, lunch, appetizers and dinner. Accommodations include high quality Shiftpod ground tents with comfortable sleeping pads, camp chairs, and all dining utensils.
Vehicle Options:
1. Drive your own 4x4 vehicle with 10 inches of ground clearance from the lowest point under the vehicle, a low range transfer-case and a minimum of 31 inch All Terrain or Mud Terrain tires are required that are "E" rated (10ply). Rock sliders are recommended to avoid potential damage to your vehicle.
2. Rent a 4x4 vehicle. I can help you with some suggestions.

Expedition Tours:
This is a tour without any guarantees except for challenge and fun! You must have either come along on a previous tour or have a phone interview to join. Vehicle requirements are much more strict and you should expect potential vehicle damage if you don't have armor. CBI OffRoad will again be joining us to film and abuse their armor, you should see the clips from the Grand Canyon Expedition!

For these adventures you must also bring along:
Sleeping bag, pillow, toiletries, camp clothes, a warm jacket for the evenings, sturdy shoes for hiking, a headlamp, and a good community attitude. A complete gear list will be sent to you once you have signed up for a tour.
